4th Mobile Genetic Elements UK Workshop

We are thrilled to invite you to the fourth edition of the MGE UK Workshop, hosted this year in the historic City of York.

Mobile Genetic Elements (MGEs) are the ultimate architects of biology. MGEs impact all domains of life and are the primary drivers of horizontal gene transfer, adaptation, and ecosystem dynamics. At this workshop we welcome participants working on any aspect of MGEs, be it Phages, Plasmids, Phagemids, Integrative Conjugative Elements, Transposons, Pathogenicity Islands, Retrons, Integrons, Introns, Defence Systems, and much more...

We will continue the established mission of the MGE-UK series to promote open science, and to inspire and connect a broad array of researchers across the field. Whether you are a PhD student at your first conference or a seasoned PI, this is your space to:

• Share cutting-edge discoveries on any aspect of MGEs and their impact

• Exchange ideas, challenge paradigms, form networks
